WEsley in fact hasn't graduated from cable knit - it's just on his shoulders now. Troi's collar has a subtle stippling effect. The holo-Okudagram in the ready room looks amazing, the recompositing means there is no degradation of the image, and it looks like it is really there with the actors.

OTOH, there was some untamed grain on bridge scenes that had a rather digital (not film-like) look to it, which takes me out of HD bliss now and again.matthewweflenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07540521459703556959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4400152815785368447.post-59928259473843137932011-01-25T06:02:37.880-06:002011-01-25T06:02:37.880-06:00I have to admit that this episode always sort of s...I have to admit that this episode always sort of stands out in my mind as a good Trek episode. Not a "great" Trek episode, but certainly solidly good.

I think you're absolutely right that the relationship between Riker and Troi gets a little better definition here. Frakes shows jealousy, understanding, concern, and love. What was great about the performance was that his love was played very subtly.

It may be because of this Frakes performance that the episode has always stood out in my mind as good Trek.phoenixbethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06376883289739855226noreply@blogger.com
