In this classic episode, the Enterprise finds itself a predicament that is by turns dangerous and absurd. The Enterprise is at Deep Space Station K-7, charged with protecting a vital grain shipment. Complicating matters are a Klingon warship at the station and the station commander being forced to grant its crew shore leave. As if that were not enough, a peddler has brought aboard the station a new, and even more insidious threat...the TRIBBLE!

It's just no fun when they're already knocked up...

After some serious discussion about whether good comedy could rate as high as good drama, we landed on giving this episode a rating of 5 each for the much-coveted 10. This episode really has everything going for it. The writing is sharp as a tack and the execution by the actors is perfection. The entire episode is a joy to watch and it is rightfully popular with hardcore fans and the Star Trek uninitiated alike. This podcast was a blast to record and we hope you have as much fun listening to it as we had making it.

  1. Seen it! So I know the dark secret, that when Kirk is standing in the pile of tribbles they are all DEAD from eating the poisoned grain. Which makes your Kirk sex joke in the caption EVEN MORE perverse.

  2. Well, I'm nothing if not polymorphously perverse!
